The Drek Death and Doom Street Team
Street teams don't often work because there's no incentive. I'd like to introduce a merit-based street team—a street team where verifiable actions earn points. A point system that easily earns high-value prizes. The goal is to support the press that houses your favorite writers with high visibility action. To draw positive attention so that we may continue to publish and support the indie artists you care about.
*The street team is fully merit-based with a leaderboard. The team is curated from those who are active reviewers, reel/carousel makers, travelers with pockets full of bookmarks and stickers, friends with relationships with indie shops and libraries, and enthusiastic supporters of our brand. Space is limited and not every applicant will be accepted, but the turnover will likely be steady. We will update the openings as often as we can

Wander
Drop Bookmarks on tables, slap stickers on surfaces. The trick is getting eyes on a book/brand where it's never existed, in a way people will remember.
I am not advocating anything illegal

Social Highlighting
A big help is reviews on Goodreads, but especially Amazon. Amazon rankings do move books, whether we like it or not. Reels, carousels, social media posts as ads, highlights, reviews, attention pieces, etc., are important at the moment.

Ties and Relationships
We're looking for people who are comfortable proposition indie shops and libraries. What fits here too are those individuals willing to work a table at a convention. This is not a requirement, but a big benefit. The main thing here is physical books to real people.

How's It Work?
If you are accepted, you will recieve an email with a link to a form to submit proof, as well as a private link to the leaderboard and point use submissions. You'll be mailed, a package of bookmarks, stickers, and press kits/sales sheets. It's up to you how you want to try to earn your points. Points will be tracked on a private leader board. The winners of the leaderboard every quarter will receive a secret prize exclusive to them and them alone.
Questions Answered
Where do I submit proof of an action?
There is a specific form for proof! You can submit a picture, or link a review or social media post.
What if I find a promotional activity not on the list?
Reach out! We're open to anything that helps us get books to new readers.
Is there a cap on total points or how often points can be used?
Only on propositioning indie shops. We don't want people to keep asking the same shop over other day, so limit the shop asks to different shops, and only four per month. As for the rest of it, especially the high-end items—just be reasonable. Remember, every action needs proof.
I haven't gotten a response. Did I get in?
We apologize, but do to the limited size of our operation, we aren't able to respond to every single person, and instead, only contact those who have been accepted. When full, the page will close and the closing will be announced in a newsletter. When it re-opens, it will be announce in the same newsletter and opened on the site. The team is small on purpose, as we believe a small number of highly active team members is stronger than a large number of inactive members and easier to monitor.
